Alas, while an aficionado of fine fare, I must admit that years of unbridled revelry and overindulgence led to a most regrettable state of corpulence. The stern admonishment of my cardiologist and the imposition of a low-carbohydrate regime stirred within me a renewed vigour for healthful victualling. Advancing upon this regimen with zeal, I was heartened to observe a favourable transformation in the order of 40lbs lost in but a few months' time. Moreover, my prediabetic and hepatic conditions did likewise resolve. While progress had been achieved, much ground remained to be covered in pursuit of a "svelte silhouette". Thus I resolved to persevere with my newfound dietary discipline, lest flagging ambition undo my labours thus far. Yet for sustenance, flavour is indispensable. The commercially available sauces and condiments provided little relief from the monotonous diet, as they are generally replete with undesirable additives and an excess of sugars that run counter to my low-carbohydrate regimen. Faced with no fitting alternative, I resolved to develop my own condiments that remain faithful to the principles of a low-carb regime whilst being sufficiently seasoned to please the most discriminating of palates. With due satisfaction do I regard my handiwork, deserving as it is of wider appreciation.
